"Crying Fourth dimension" is a song from 1964 written and originally recorded past the American state music artist Buck Owens.[2] It gained greater success in the version recorded by Ray Charles, which won two Grammy Awards in 1967. Owens recorded the original version of his vocal and released it as the B side to the 45 unmarried "I've Got a Tiger Past the Tail" in 1964, Capitol 5336, but it failed to reach the music charts. A comprehend version of "Crying Time" was then recorded past R&B singer Ray Charles, and his version proved to exist a striking. Featuring backing vocals by the Jack Halloran Singers and The Raelettes, the vocal reached number six on the Billboard Hot 100 nautical chart in February 1966.[two] [3] Charles' version of the song besides peaked at number v on the R&B chart and spent three weeks at number one on the easy listening nautical chart.[iv] In the United kingdom, the song reached number 50 on the Great britain Singles Chart.[5] In add-on, Charles' version of "Crying Time" won 2 Grammy Awards in 1967, in the categories Best R&B Recording and All-time R&B Solo Functioning.[2]

Charles intended his version of Owens' song to exist a tribute to the state music manner he appreciated (Charles had successfully covered other state music songs in the past, such as "I Tin't Finish Loving You lot"). He was quoted every bit saying that he didn't tape "Crying Time" and other land songs written by Owens "out of disrespect for Cadet. I'm crazy about Cadet. But I heard something that fit my style. - Nancy Sinatra recorded a cover of the vocal for the 1966 album How Does That Grab You lot?.
- Dean Martin recorded the song for his 1969 album I Have a Lot of Pride in What I Am

- Andre Hazes recorded the song with new Dutch lyrics for his 1989 blues album Dit Is Wat Ik Wil (This Is What I Want) as Jammer (Information technology's a pity), a alert against pollution of the world. The vocal, released as a single, features a guitar solo by Jan Akkerman.
